Requirements

  • Clinically competent nursing staff for General Nursing Units care for patients from age 15 years to maturity.
  • Clinically competent nursing staff for Special Care Areas care for patients 15 years through adult with high-risk conditions.
  • Staff clinically competent in maternity care for Maternal Child Units: Labor and Delivery care includes patients who have a pregnancy related condition.
  • Clinically competent staff for Nursery care includes care for newborn until discharge status.
  • Clinically competent staff provides care to patients from neonate through age of eighteen in Pediatric units.
  • Clinically competent staff for GI Lab Unit cares for toddlers, beginning age 24 months, through adult.
  • Clinically competent nursing staff for Chemical Dependent Unit and Psychiatric Unit cares for adult patients and family with holistic approach to emotional problems.
  • Clinically competent staff in Emergency Unit provides care to presenting patients of all ages in pediatric high-risk adult care.
  • Staff provides care to patients from neonate to geriatric in Surgical Services.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction/supervision of RN, provides basic and intermediate nursing care for assigned group of patients based on competence.
  • Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
