This is a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICCU) at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. The role involves assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) with the daily care of patients, including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and ambulation. The CNA will also be responsible for measuring and documenting vital signs, intake and output, and patient data, as well as accurately documenting in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). The position requires participation in patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring patient call lights are accessible, and collecting specimens for testing. Additionally, the CNA will assist with patient nutritional needs, maintaining skin integrity, and providing post-mortem care and bladder scans as directed. Practicing infection prevention protocols, including hand hygiene and knowledge of sterile procedures, is essential. The role requires the ability to provide age-appropriate care based on principles of growth and development.
