About The Position

Elderhaus is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Home Care in Wilmington, NC. This role is for full-time or part-time openings, specifically for weekend shifts. Elderhaus is a non-profit PACE organization dedicated to helping seniors live independently at home with comprehensive care. The position involves providing personal care services to participants, assisting with daily living activities, medication reminders, and household tasks, while adhering to infection control protocols and regulations.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
Successful completion of a Nurse Aide I education program.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Registration with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Health Service Regulation, Health Care Personnel Registry as a Certified Nursing Aide I (CNA-I).

Nice To Haves

One year of experience providing care for elderly adults preferred.
Has completed a course in delivery of personal care services desired OR has one year experience in a health care setting.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance according to the participant’s care plan, including bathing, grooming, dressing, mouth care, skin and hair care, and ambulation.
Assist with self-administration of medication through verbal reminders.
Perform essential household services, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and organizing.
Report and record changes in the participant’s condition or family situation to Elderhaus staff, and follow the Infection Control Plan using universal precautions and appropriate PPE.
Comply with federal and state regulations, work with assigned participants as needed, and complete other duties as assigned by the RN-Aide Supervisor or Agency Director.
