About The Position
Preferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville, a nationwide senior care company, is actively hiring dependable CNAs and experienced caregivers for immediate assignments. We offer consistent hours, flexible scheduling, and a supportive team environment. This role involves assisting clients with personal care, mobility, safety, and daily living activities, providing companionship, and following care plans. We are looking for individuals who are dependable and ready to start quickly.
Requirements
- 2 years of caregiving experience OR CNA Certification
- Must have valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
- Must pass background screening
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma/GED
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting and incontinence care)
- Provide mobility support and transfers
- Use assistive devices (gait belt, walker, wheelchair, Hoyer lift)
- Assist in fall prevention and general safety awareness
- Help reposition bedbound clients to prevent discomfort
- Offer companionship and daily living assistance
- Follow care plans and ensure client safety
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation
- Engage clients in hobbies, games, or activities
- Monitor for changes in mood or behavior
- Provide conversation and social interaction
- Provide reminders to take medications as scheduled
