Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Experienced Caregiver Needed for Assignments
About The Position
Preferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville is actively hiring dependable CNAs and experienced caregivers for immediate assignments. We offer consistent hours, flexible scheduling, and a supportive team environment. This role involves assisting clients with personal care, mobility, safety, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and providing companionship. We are looking for individuals with a high school diploma/GED, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background screening. Immediate openings are available for full-time, part-time, and PRN positions.
Requirements
- 2 years of caregiving experience OR CNA Certification
- Must have valid driver's license & reliable transportation
- Must pass background screening
- High school diploma/GED
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting and incontinence care)
- Provide mobility support and transfers
- Use assistive devices (gait belt, walker, wheelchair, Hoyer lift)
- Assist in fall prevention and general safety awareness
- Help reposition bedbound clients to prevent discomfort
- Offer companionship and daily living assistance
- Follow care plans and ensure client safety
- Light housekeeping
- Meal preparation
- Engage clients in hobbies, games, or activities
- Monitor for changes in mood or behavior
- Provide conversation and social interaction
- Provide reminders to take medications as scheduled
