About The Position
Under the direction/supervision of RN, provides basic and intermediate nursing care for assigned group of patients based on competence. The Emergency Unit provides care to presenting patients of all ages by clinically competent staff in pediatric high-risk adult care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Aide, Medical Assistant or intermediate or higher level Emergency Medical Technician program.
- 2 years of clinical experience (Inpatient, Emergency Department, or Skilled Nursing Unit).
- Current Emergency Medical Technician, Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Phlebotomist, EKG Tech certification required.
- BLS –Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer to position.

- Satisfactory completed a nurse aide course, EMT, Paramedic, Medical Assisting
