About The Position

QuarterLine (QL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care services in the Emergency Room at Madigan Army Medical Center, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Tacoma, WA. This position plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment in support of the military healthcare mission. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical support skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively in urgent situations, along with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. This role is essential in assisting healthcare providers, supporting emergency patient care activities, and contributing to a safe, efficient, and compassionate environment for service members and their families.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
  • Minimum one year experience within the last two years as a certified nurse assistant working in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care post-graduation/course completion.
  • The contract worker performing under this contract must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certificate
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Certification cards must display the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Web-based (on-line) classes are not acceptable by the Government.

Responsibilities

  • Provide age-appropriate patient care based on SOPs, provider orders, and individual patient needs.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, report changes or concerns to medical staff.
  • Assist with hygiene, safety, daily living activities, and patient mobility.
  • Support providers during exams and procedures, including patient preparation and specimen collection.
  • Observe and report patient changes, including serving as a safety attendant when needed.
  • Document care and communicate patient information to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with patient transport, admissions, discharges, and basic administrative tasks.
  • Maintain clean, stocked patient care areas and support clinic operations.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills in English with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Utilize basic computer skills and medical knowledge, including documentation, terminology, and customer service practices.
  • Exhibit professionalism, initiative, and strong interpersonal skills when working with diverse patient populations.
