About The Position

Join Avita of Wells as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) on the first shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM). We are seeking compassionate individuals to enrich the lives of our residents through dedicated care. As a CNA, you will provide essential assistance with daily activities, personal care, meal service, laundry, and engage in meaningful conversations to meet resident needs promptly. As a CRMA, you will administer prescribed medications under the direction of the Executive Director or Director of Nursing, adhering to state and federal regulations. This role may also involve providing personal care services, assistance, support, and supervision to residents, along with other duties assigned by your supervisor. This is an essential personnel position, requiring staff to be present as scheduled, regardless of weather or catastrophic events.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of state competency exam for CNA certification.
  • Ability to move and assist residents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Genuine care and empathy for residents' well-being.
  • Accurate recording of resident information and vital signs.
  • Ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals as part of the Wellness team.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and resident information privacy.
  • Criminal Background Screening is required.

Responsibilities

  • Help residents with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Serve meals and ensure residents receive proper nutrition, following dietary guidelines and preferences.
  • Manage laundry efficiently to maintain cleanliness and resident comfort.
  • Address residents' needs quickly and with empathy, providing attentive care.
  • Collaborate with other care professionals to ensure an effective care team.
  • Record observations and updates on residents' conditions for accurate record-keeping.
  • Adhere to safety rules and infection control measures to maintain resident health.
  • Participate in training and education to enhance caregiving skills.
  • Administer certain medications to residents as prescribed, under the direction of the Executive Director, Director of Nursing (or their designee) in accordance with state and federal regulations and facility policy.
