About The Position

HSHS is seeking interested applicants for our PAID CNA Apprenticeship program in partnership with Midwest Career Source to receive CNA certification (pending passed exam), followed by a 1 year, full time work commitment with HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, IL. Once the 6-8 week training program is completed within HSHS, you will be gainfully employed as a Patient Care Assistant working with patients in Med Surg or Cardiac/Telemetry Units within HSHS. Requirements

  • Must be actively working toward certification/licensure in field of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30-days of employment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • 1-2 years of healthcare experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Receive CNA certification (pending passed exam)
  • Complete a 1 year, full time work commitment with HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital
  • Work with patients in Med Surg or Cardiac/Telemetry Units as a Patient Care Assistant
