This position assists the RN with the daily care of patients in the Acute Rehab unit, focusing on patient comfort, safety, and well-being. The CNA will be responsible for a range of tasks including personal hygiene, feeding, monitoring vital signs, documenting patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and assisting with patient mobility and positioning. The role also involves participating in patient admissions and discharges, maintaining a clean and stocked nursing area, and ensuring patient call lights are always accessible and answered promptly. The CNA must be able to perform tasks requiring physical exertion, such as lifting and transferring patients, and adhere to infection prevention policies. A key aspect of the role is providing age-appropriate care based on the principles of growth and development.
