When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. This is a 32hpw position working 11p-7:30a, with rotating weekends and holidays. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs various patient care activities and related tasks in a Birthplace setting. The CNA assists with admitting, transferring, and discharging patients. They are responsible for preparing patients for meals, serving food, assisting with feeding, and recording intake. The CNA also performs personal nursing care functions, assisting patients with daily living activities such as oral hygiene, bathing, dressing, bowel/bladder functions, transporting, obtaining blood sugar levels, and vital signs, always promoting patient dignity. They provide all functions as delegated by Registered Nursing Staff, ensure patient rooms are prepared for admissions, conduct purposeful rounding, and respond to call bells promptly. The CNA alerts nursing staff to abnormal findings, stocks patient rooms and care areas, updates whiteboards, helps maintain a safe patient environment, and may provide constant observation as a trained safety sitter. Compliance with mandatory education and accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record are also key responsibilities.
