This role involves providing direct and indirect personal care to patients in their homes. The Certified Nurses Assistant will utilize safety measures, maintain effective communication with supervisors regarding patient conditions, and document services accurately. Responsibilities include observing patients for changes in condition, assisting with medication preparation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to agency policies, and recognizing emergencies. The role also requires knowledge of infection control and emergency procedures, as well as timely submission of documentation. It is important to note that the Home Health Aide or CNA is not permitted to perform certain medical procedures such as changing sterile dressings, irrigating body cavities, administering medication, or catheterizing patients.
