About The Position

Freedom Village Holland is currently hiring for a Part-Time Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for the 1st Shift (6am-2pm). This role involves providing personal and non-personal care to residents, supporting their independent living while offering necessary assistance, and promoting their dignity, safety, and engagement. The position requires maintaining accurate records of care and observations, and responding promptly to resident needs and alerts.

Requirements

• Current Michigan Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to document care accurately
• Ability to transfer residents (50+ lbs) with proper equipment/support

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs as indicated
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and bed changes
• Escort residents to dining, therapy, activities, and appointments
• Make daily rounds to ill residents
• Keep Supervisor informed of resident status
• Monitor medication compliance
• Assist with tray service and meal support
• Participate in ongoing resident assessments
• Attend weekly update and Health Committee meetings
• Support residents and families as needed
• Attend in-service training and education sessions
• Perform additional duties as assigned
