About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living. This role is at Timber Ridge at Talus, a senior living community in Issaquah, Washington, specifically within the Briarwood Health Center. The community emphasizes an all-inclusive lifestyle, superior hospitality, and a beautiful location, reflecting residents' love for the Pacific Northwest. The position is for a full-time, night shift role (10:30 pm - 7:00 am).
Requirements
- Successful completion of a State-approved geriatric nursing assistant training program. (CNA License)
- Registration with State registry required.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
- Positive and professional work demeanor required.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in Nursing experience in assisted living, memory care preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Prior geriatric nurse aide experience is preferred.
- Experience in assisted living, memory care preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising.
- Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures, and collects specimens as instructed.
- Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens when indicated.
- Transfers, transports, and escorts residents as needed.
- Answers signal lights promptly.
- Changes bed linens, makes bed, and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
- Follows resident care plans.
- Maintains safe and sanitary workstations and equipment.
- Encourages independence, attendance at activities, restorative programs, and rehabilitation.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
