(CNA) Certified Nurse's Aide Trainee
About The Position
Join The Commons on St. Anthony family and experience our beautifully renovated facility and supportive team setting! We are offering a FREE CNA Training Program in Auburn, with paid clinical training starting on Week 3 of the course. All course materials, exam fees, and certification costs are covered by Loretto, and a guaranteed CNA position with The Commons is offered upon successful certification. Part-time and full-time positions are available for Days, Evenings, and Nights, with additional pay differentials for evenings and nights, and overtime after working an 8-hour shift. Once certified, the Certified Nurse’s Aide performs direct and indirect care to promote the comfort, safety, convalescence, and rehabilitation of residents as directed by our Clinical Team. No prior experience as an Aide/Caregiver is needed, only a passion for caring for others. The Commons offers PayActiv, which allows employees to receive an advance on wages already worked but not yet paid. There is no mandation.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED that can be verified.
- Must be able to read/write English Language.
- Ability to understand and carry out directions and instructions.
- Ability to report changes in resident’s condition and other pertinent information.
- Ability to take and record information and basic records.
- Knowledge of MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.

Responsibilities
- Perform direct and indirect care to residents as directed by our Clinical Team of Nurse Managers, Clinical Coordinators, Nursing Supervisors and Charge Nurses.
- Provide compassionate care to a diverse age group of residents.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, transferring, bed mobility, ambulation, feeding, toileting, positioning.
- Distribute and assist with snacks and nourishment.
- Collaborate with other health care team members to personalize and enhance the patient experience.
- Respond to and anticipate the needs of patients’ family members.
