About The Position

Lake Port Square is seeking a hospitality-minded C.N.A. for part-time weekends, working alternating 7-3 and 3-11 shifts, to join their Assisted Living team. The role involves assisting licensed nursing staff with routine nursing duties and activities of daily living for residents in a senior living community located on the shores of Lake Harris in Leesburg, FL. The community is Joint Commission Accredited and award-winning, emphasizing a fulfilling career and providing hospitality to residents.

Requirements

Successful completion of a State approved geriatric nursing assistant training program.
Must have active C.N.A. certification in State of Florida.
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
Ability to document care given.

Nice To Haves

Prior geriatric nursing aide experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting and exercising.
Gives treatments, performs tests, carries out procedures and collects specimens as instructed.
Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures and specimens when indicated.
Transfers, transports and escorts residents as needed.
Answers signal lights promptly.
Changes bed linens, makes beds and keeps rooms clean and orderly.
Maintains safe and sanitary work stations and equipment.
Encourages independence, attendance at activities, restorative programs and rehabilitation.
Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
