CERTIFIED NURSE PRACTITIONER
About The Position
We are seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner to join Arrowhead Behavioral Health Hospital, a 48-bed inpatient psychiatric facility near Toledo, OH. This role offers the opportunity to focus on managing medical issues in psychiatric patients while working alongside a multidisciplinary care team. Arrowhead Behavioral Health is a 48-bed private, free-standing psychiatric hospital providing a variety of specialized services for adults in a private, confidential and non-institutional environment conducive to healing and recovery. Arrowhead Behavioral Health is a part of Universal Health Services, Inc., one of the nation’s largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services.
Requirements
- Board Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP)
- Active Ohio nursing license or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills in psychiatric care.
- Knowledge of evidence-based treatments for mental health and substance use disorders.
- Ability to establish rapport with diverse patient populations, including those with co-occurring disorders.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered and trauma-informed care
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Diplomacy and discretion are essential, as well as excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Professional demeanor and appearance required.
- Ability to work productively and independently.
- Must follow the security and confidentiality guidelines as well as the policies and procedures of Arrowhead Behavioral Health.
Nice To Haves
- Experience or comfort working with medically complex psychiatric patients preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct History & Physical examinations and Medical Consultations for psychiatric inpatients
- Manage medical care of psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting
- Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and behavioral health support staff
- Document clinical care accurately
