About The Position

Vancouver Clinic is seeking a per diem, hospital-based Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join their dynamic and growing team. The department includes 14 midwives dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse community within the hospital setting, with a strong emphasis on midwifery-led care and continuity for patients. CNMs serve as primary providers for low- to moderate-risk patients while collaborating closely with physician colleagues when higher-acuity care is needed. Midwives deliver at both local hospitals - PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center and Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, providing full-scope inpatient care. Responsibilities include supporting physiologic birth, attending water births, managing VBACs, and participating in cesarean sections for midwifery patients as part of an integrated care team.

Requirements

A minimum one year of clinical experience including inpatient care as a midwife is required
2-3 12-hr call shifts that can be taken
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Offers are contingent on successful completion of background screen and immunization requirements.
