About The Position

We invite Certified Nurse Midwives to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds, and progressive visionaries together in our Women’s Care team at University City in North Charlotte, NC. Atrium Health Women's Care boasts one of the nation's largest OB/GYN teams, with board-certified specialists covering all aspects of women's health. Atrium Health University Hospital has been recognized as a 2023-2024 U.S. News & World Report Best Maternity Hospital. Working here presents an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team of Certified Nurse Midwives and experts in Women's Health. The team consists of 4.6 CNM hospitalists; partnership with North Charlotte OB/GYN and Eastover University OB/GYN, delivering at AH University City Hospital. Atrium Health University Hospital is a 130-bed acute care facility located in Charlotte’s University area. The campus offers a range of healthcare services in University City, Mint Hill, North Mecklenburg, and Southwest Cabarrus regions in North Carolina. Over the past 25 years, our hospital has been serving the Charlotte area and we have worked to add new services and more specialized physicians and programs to meet the growing healthcare needs of our community. Requirements

  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse required
  • Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board and approved to practice as a Nurse Midwife in the state of NC
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider from AHA required
  • Minimum 3 years as a CNM

Responsibilities

  • 4 (24 Hour) Call Shifts per month.
  • Some flexibility with a hybrid of 12 hour and 24 hour call shifts
