About The Position

¡Vamos! Health is seeking a Part-Time Certified Nurse Midwife who is bilingual in Spanish and English. This role involves providing direct patient care, health education, and support throughout the prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and well-woman care continuum. The position requires fluency in both English and Spanish to ensure equitable, high-quality care and remove language barriers. ¡Vamos! Health offers a unique membership model where patients receive exceptional attention without requiring insurance, through a predictable monthly fee. The team is dedicated to providing primary care for all ages in-person, over the phone, and via text message, with Community Health Navigators offering support beyond clinical care. Some locations also accept Medicaid, with a goal to keep families together and provide continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Active Utah RN license required; Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) certification
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required — verbal and written proficiency will be assessed.
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS/NRP preferred, depending on role).
  • Prior experience in maternal health, labor and delivery, or community health settings required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to culturally competent, patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary clinical environment.
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing or midwifery care, including assessments, monitoring, and treatment, in accordance with scope of practice and Utah licensure.
  • Deliver prenatal, labor and delivery, postpartum, and/or well-woman care services (as applicable to role and certification).
  • Communicate fluently in English and Spanish with patients and families to explain diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and procedures.
  • Serve as a linguistic and cultural bridge between patients and the broader care team, including physicians, specialists, and administrative staff.
  • Accurately document patient encounters, vitals, and care plans in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Provide patient education on prenatal health, newborn care, nutrition, and family planning in both languages.
  • Coordinate with interpreters, community health workers, and social services as needed for patients requiring additional support.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to labor and delivery needs as required (for midwifery roles).
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and all applicable clinical protocols and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team on quality improvement initiatives and culturally responsive care practices.

Benefits

  • Pay: $55.00 – $65.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and licensure.
