About The Position

Seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife for a Locum Tenens position in Duluth, MN. This is an inpatient role covering supplemental needs on an ongoing basis starting July 24, 2026. The position is call-only, requiring 24-hour in-house call with a 5-minute response time. The call ratio is 1:2. Responsibilities include managing phone consults (4 per day), handling patient volumes of 6-12, and managing 3-12 admissions. Rounding is included. The department has 22 beds and is a Level II Trauma facility. Support staff includes 7 RNs, 2 MAs, and 1 Office Staff. Epic is the EMR system used.

Requirements

• Active MN License or IMLC
• Board Certified (BC)
• BLS certification
• PALS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour in-house call coverage with a 5-minute response time.
• Manage phone consults (approximately 4 per day).
• Handle patient volumes of 6-12.
• Manage admissions ranging from 3-12.
• Perform rounding.
• Collaborate with a support staff of 7 RNs, 2 MAs, and 1 Office Staff.
