About The Position

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join their group in Crown Point, IN. The provider will work collaboratively with a team of nurse midwives and physicians, focusing on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills and a desire to develop community ties. The role involves coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care in collaboration with physicians, adhering to the Ethical and Religious Directives for all health care services. The position offers a flexible full-time schedule, splitting time between clinic and hospital duties, including daily rounding on post-delivery patients. Common diagnoses and procedures include antepartum and postpartum care, Pap smears, breast exams, annual wellness exams, and deliveries. The role benefits from a collegial team, a strong referral base, and support from onsite specialists.

Requirements

• Master's Degree
• 5 years Staff RN in Labor and Delivery
• Nurse Midwife (NMW) certification
• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association certification

Nice To Haves

• 2 years Clinical physician office experience

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care in collaboration with physicians.
• Provide antepartum and postpartum care.
• Perform Pap smears, breast exams, and annual wellness exams.
• Attend deliveries.
• Round on post-delivery patients daily.
• Work collaboratively with a team of nurse midwives and physicians.
• Adhere to the Ethical and Religious Directives for all health care services.
