About The Position

Locum Certified Nurse Midwife assignment with immediate availability for six months and the possibility of extension. The role combines clinic and hospital work and involves 40 hours per week: two 8-hour clinic days from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and two 12-hour hospital midwifery shifts, either 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM. No on-call duties are required.

The estimated clinic patient load is 20–22 patients; hospital census varies according to delivery rates. EPIC proficiency is required. Credentialing is estimated to take 90 days from application submission.

Requirements

• Certified Nurse Midwife in California.
• Active California Registered Nurse license.
• Active California state license.
• AMCB CNM National Certification.
• California Nurse Midwife Furnishing Certification.
• Board certification.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Proficiency in EPIC.
• At least 1 year of CNM experience is the minimum acceptable experience level.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years of recent CNM experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage deliveries in the hospital.
• Perform first- and second-degree vaginal repairs.
• Co-manage high-risk obstetric cases, including hypertension and diabetes, with physicians.
• Manage labor in collaboration with physicians.
• Facilitate medications.
• Conduct triage operations.
• Manage the board.
