About The Position

Responsible for the assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating midwifery care delivered to assigned group of patients and functions within the expectations of the service.

Requirements

• Master’s graduate of accredited School of Nursing and completion of an approved post basic program of study and clinical experience for Nurse-Midwifery.
• Certification from the American Midwifery Certification Board.
• Current North Carolina RN license.
• Approved to perform medical acts by the joint midwifery sub-committee of the NC Board of Nursing and NC Board of Medical Examiners.
• NRP certification.
• BCLS certification. If the BCLS certification is not from the American Heart Association (AHA), an AHA certification is required within three months of employment date.
• No previous experience required.
• Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date.
