About The Position
The Certified Nurse Midwife provides comprehensive patient care to patients in collaboration with physician partners, managing the complex care of the prenatal, antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum patient. This includes admission, monitoring and reporting on patient progress and discharge planning and follow through. Join a group of Certified Nurse Midwives who provide comprehensive and compassionate care.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree- Midwifery
- BLS Certification
- Certified Nurse Midwife
- Maryland CDS license
- Maryland State DEA license
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program
- Registered Nurse Certified
- Strong Verbal Communications Skills
- Excellent Interpersonal Skills
- Basic Computer Skills
- Strong Customer Services Skills
- Proven Analytical Skill
- Adequate hearing to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.
- Hears alarms/telephone/tape recorder/normal speaking voice
Nice To Haves
- 2 - 4 years Midwifery experience
- 0 - 1 year Ability to scrub as a first assistant on Cesarean sections
- 0 - 1 year Proven skills in third trimester ultrasound
- First Assist Certification (Required within 6 months of hire)
