About The Position

Vassar Brothers Medical Center of Nuvance Health is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join their OB/GYN group. This is a collaborative Midwife/OB-GYN team providing care to a diverse patient population. The goal is to provide 24/7 midwifery coverage alongside physician colleagues. The ideal candidate is dedicated to the midwifery model of patient empowerment and providing full scope care grounded in compassion and shared decision making. A full-time midwife will work two clinic days and one 24-hour call shift per week (80 hours per two-week pay period). Weekends and holidays are shared amongst the group. The practice has offices in Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, and Highland and admits exclusively to Vassar Brothers Medical Center. The Labor and Delivery Unit sees about 2,800 babies born each year and has a level III NICU, an excellent Perinatology program, fellowship-trained breast surgeons, and GYN-oncologists on campus.
