About The Position
Join our growing Certified Nurse Midwife team in the North suburbs. Our CNM's provide care including pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum period, immediate care of the newborn following birth, family planning and gynecologic needs. They ensure coordination of care for the patient in collaboration with other Perinatal, Neonatal and Birth Center team members. This is a full-time position at Mercy Women's Clinic and deliveries out of Mercy Hospital.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Graduate from Accredited School of Nursing required
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire
- Current BLS certification with AHA, ARC or Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire
- AMCB American Midwifery Certification Board upon hire required
- Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree or doctoral in nursing or related field preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide labor support, water birth and VBAC/TOLAC services.
- Attend approximately 40-50 births per month.
- Ensure coordination of care for the patient in collaboration with other Perinatal, Neonatal and Birth Center team members.
- Follow standards for Nurse Midwifery Practice established by the American College of Nurse-Midwives and Minnesota statute.
