About The Position

University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a Full-Time Certified Registered Nurse Midwife to help support Magee Womens OBGYN Altoona. This position will have inpatient, outpatient and on call duties. On Call rotation with 4 other CNM. Limited holiday call requirements – no major holidays. Minimal weekend call – no Saturday call, Sunday night shift coverage on a rotating basis. Large, growing OB/GYN practice serving Blair, Bedford, Huntingdon, and Cambria Counties. Our diverse provider team includes Laborists, General OB/GYNs, Certified Nurse Midwives, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners. The practice supports approximately 100–125 deliveries per month. In addition to comprehensive OB/GYN care, we offer a full range of subspecialty services, including Urogynecology, Gynecologic Oncology, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Requirements

0-1 year experience.
Graduate of an approved CNM program is required
Must be eligible for licensure.
CPR certification required.
National certification, eligible for licensure by Pennsylvania board of nursing, eligible for certification as a CNM by Pennsylvania state board of nursing PR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) OR Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.
