About The Position

Northern Dutchess Hospital of Nuvance Health is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join their OB/GYN group. This is a collaborative Midwife/OB-GYN team providing care to a diverse patient population across multiple counties in the Hudson Valley. The practice aims to increase staffing from 5 to 7 midwives to provide 24/7 midwifery coverage alongside physician colleagues. This role is ideal for someone excited by the opportunity to help grow and shape a practice, dedicated to the midwifery model of patient empowerment, and providing full-scope care grounded in compassion and shared decision-making. A full-time midwife will work two clinic days and one 24-hour call shift per week (80 hours per two-week pay period), with shared weekends and holidays. The practice has offices in Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, and Highland, working with 7 board-certified physicians. They admit exclusively to Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, which has a busy Labor and Delivery Unit delivering approximately 2,800 babies annually, a level III NICU staffed by neonatologists, an excellent Perinatology program, and fellowship-trained breast surgeons and GYN-oncologists on campus.
