About The Position

Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and perform comprehensive physical examinations and assessments. Perform completed, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical and nursing status reports, and order radiological and diagnostic studies appropriate for compliance, age, race, and physical condition of the patient. Identify high-risk conditions and collaborate with or refer to OB-GYN physicians as appropriate. Analyze and staff front and back office to meet needs of healthcare professionals and patients efficiently and courteously. Plan and initiate a therapeutic program within established protocols and institutional policies. Interpret and analyze patient data and results of laboratory and diagnostic tests. Provide instructions and guidance regarding pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, newborn care, health lifestyle choices, preventative care, family planning, contraception, and reproductive health. Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences. Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nurse Midwifery from an accredited program
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license and Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) required
  • Required 5-7 years of progressive clinical experience, preferably in obstetrics and/or women's health
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with guests
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Must be ACLS certified

Nice To Haves

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
  • Experience in outpatient or clinic setting preferred
