About The Position

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to join their group located in Crown Point, IN. The provider will work with a collaborative team of nurse midwives and physicians. The ideal candidate will have a current midwife background, a strong focus on clinical excellence, and patient satisfaction. The candidate will display exceptional interpersonal skills and a desire to develop strong ties with the community and existing medical staff. The provider will need to work collaboratively with physicians to coordinate and deliver the highest quality of patient care. For all health care services at Franciscan Physician Network, we follow the Ethical and Religious Directives, while caring for our patient population. The role involves a flexible full-time schedule, with time split between clinic and hospital duties. Daily rounding on post-delivery patients is expected. Common Diagnoses and Procedures include Antepartum and Postpartum care, Pap smears, Breast exams, Annual Wellness Exams, and Deliveries. The position offers a collegial team and a strong referral base with support from onsite specialists.

Requirements

• Master's Degree
• 5 years Staff RN in Labor and Delivery
• Nurse Midwife (NMW) – Required
• Registered Nurse (RN) – Required
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association – Required

Nice To Haves

• 2 years Clinical physician office experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver the highest quality of patient care in collaboration with physicians.
• Provide Antepartum and Postpartum care.
• Perform Pap smears.
• Conduct Breast exams.
• Perform Annual Wellness Exams.
• Attend Deliveries.
• Round on post-delivery patients daily.
