About The Position

Vassar Brothers Medical Center of Nuvance Health is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife PRN to join their OB/GYN group. This is a collaborative Midwife/OB-GYN team providing care to a diverse patient population. The practice aims to provide 24/7 midwifery coverage alongside physician colleagues and offers an opportunity to help grow and shape the practice. The ideal candidate is dedicated to the midwifery model of patient empowerment, providing full-scope care grounded in compassion and shared decision-making. They should be a team player with excellent communication skills, able to establish rapport and trust with patients and families, committed to evidence-based care, and value working with a diverse patient population. The role requires reliability, adaptability, high clinical competence, compassion, empathy, commitment to patient education, cultural sensitivity, excellent interdisciplinary collaboration skills, and a passion for lifelong learning and professional development. The practice has offices in Poughkeepsie, Fishkill, and Highland, admitting exclusively to Vassar Brothers Medical Center. The Labor and Delivery Unit sees approximately 2,800 births annually and is supported by a Level III NICU, an excellent Perinatology program, fellowship-trained breast surgeons, and GYN-oncologists on campus. Requirements

• Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) certification.
• Experience as a Certified Nurse Midwife.
• Team player.
