About The Position

DuBois Integrity Academy (DIA) is looking to hire a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for the 2026-2027 academic year. The CNA will assist the school nurse by providing basic healthcare to students and staff, including administering first aid, managing health records, and helping with screenings, all under the supervision of licensed nurses. The primary focus of a school CNA is to provide a safe and supportive environment for students to learn and thrive while addressing their health needs.

Requirements

  • Must hold a current Georgia Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
  • Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations
  • Work under protocols established by the school system.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Accessible to students and staff when questions or concerns occur.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Thorough knowledge of the ethical guidelines applicable to the position as outlined by the school and federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments.
  • Professional and positive attitude and demeanor.
  • Customer-focused and results-driven.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting students with daily activities, dressing, etc.
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs like blood pressure and temperature.
  • Administering basic first aid and emergency care as needed.
  • Communicating with parents or guardians about student health concerns.
  • Working with the school nurse, teachers, and other staff to ensure student well-being.
  • Assist with health assemblies, first aid training, and other health-related tasks as assigned.
