About The Position

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is classified as an auxiliary worker in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act and Standards Rules and Regulations for the Practice of Nursing. These are non-licensed workers who may perform basic nursing services for patients as delegated by and under the direct supervision of the professional nurse. The activities contributing to the delivery of nursing care is limited to providing personal hygiene, comfort, safety, and protection. Non-nursing support functions are also included in role expectations. At SageWest Health Care, we are committed to providing our patients with the highest quality, family-friendly care available. SageWest Health Care is located in Fremont County, Wyoming, encompassing two hospitals, one in Riverton and one in Lander. Each offers a wide range of healthcare services, including inpatient medical services, emergency room services, surgical services, imaging services, laboratory diagnostic services, primary care, infusion services, and women’s health.

Requirements

Current CNA certification listed on the State Nurse Aide Registry
Current BLS on first day or to be assigned by the Learning Center

Responsibilities

Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in his/her department
Acquire and/or demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span
Provide care with consideration of developmental status
Relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions
Get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes
Perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading, or speaking with others
Respond appropriately to constructive feedback from a supervisor
Provide personal hygiene, comfort, safety, and protection for patients
Perform non-nursing support functions
