Requirements
- Certified Nurse Tech or obtain certification within 6 months of hire
- Current BLS
Nice To Haves
- Will not perform any tasks requiring licensure and/or certification beyond the scope of an MA.
Responsibilities
- Assist in all phases of routine patient care (vital signs, collection of lab specimens, ambulating patients, responding to patient requests, passing dietary trays, accompanying patients as necessary) under the direction of nursing staff.
- Answer telephones.
- Answer patient call lights.
- Build charts on new admission patients.
- Break down charts on discharged patients.
