About The Position
Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, a 116-bed community hospital in Hartsville, SC, is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). This role is classified as an auxiliary worker under the Nursing Practice Act. CNAs perform basic nursing services, including personal hygiene, comfort, safety, and protection, under the direct supervision of a professional nurse. Non-nursing support functions are also part of the role expectations. The hospital has received numerous awards and recognitions for its commitment to excellence, safety, and community care.
Requirements
- Current CNA certification listed on the State Nurse Aide Registry
- Current BLS on first day or to be assigned by the Learning Center
Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene, comfort, safety, and protection for patients.
- Perform basic nursing services as delegated by and under the direct supervision of a professional nurse.
- Perform non-nursing support functions.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
- Acquire and/or demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
- Provide care with consideration of developmental status.
- Relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions.
- Get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes.
- Perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, supervising, persuading, or speaking with others.
- Respond appropriately to constructive feedback from a supervisor.
