Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and Program Director, the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) has the responsibility to engage with patients and to assist in delivering personalized attention and support to patients living at the MLK-RCC Program. The CNA will help patients with navigating around the site or community, eating, dressing, and bathing as needed. This role works in close collaboration with the patient care team, further enriching the well-being of our patients and contributing to the positive ambiance and exceptional level of care maintained throughout our facility. The MLK-RCC is an Interim Housing program that aids homeless individuals in their recovery journey, helping them improve their health conditions and enhance their social and Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills, all with the ultimate aim of securing stable housing opportunities. Some of these individuals may also grapple with mental health and substance abuse issues, which can occasionally manifest in behaviors such as yelling, using strong language, and displaying anger outbursts. The core responsibility of each staff member at the MLK-RCC is to support clients in surmounting obstacles and enhancing their coping mechanisms, thereby reducing negative behaviors.
