This position involves providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Duties include taking vital signs, assisting with bathing, dressing, and moving patients, changing linens, and other assigned tasks. The role also involves gathering information on patient condition as requested by nursing staff and reporting any changes. A shift differential and a WEO differential are also offered. The Nurse Assistant Training Program is available for those seeking to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel within a classroom and clinical learning environment. While in the clinical setting, trainees will provide basic patient care under supervision, perform duties within their scope of practice, and report any changes in patient condition. A competency assessment will be administered at the end of the training.
