This role involves providing basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff, performing duties such as taking vital signs, bathing, dressing, moving patients, and changing linens. The position also requires obtaining information on patient condition and reporting any changes. The Nurse Assistant Training Program functions within a classroom and clinical learning environment to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. While in the clinical learning environment, the trainee will provide basic patient care under the direction and supervision of a clinical educator and nursing staff. During clinical rotation, duties may include taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, and changing linens within their scope of practice. The trainee will obtain information on patient condition and report any changes. A competency assessment will be administered at the end of the training.
