About The Position

The Village at Regional West is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented CNA Med Aide to provide quality care and medication assistance to residents in a long-term care setting. This role is essential in supporting residents' health, safety, comfort, and overall well-being. CNA Med Aides are responsible for assisting with daily living activities, administering medications within their scope of practice, and promoting a positive resident experience.

Requirements

  • Certification as a CNA in the State of Nebraska without restrictions
  • Certification as Medication Aide – 40 Hour in the State of Nebraska without restrictions
  • American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers required upon hire
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout assigned areas for entire shifts
  • Ability to lift, transfer, reposition, push, and pull residents using proper body mechanics and equipment
  • Ability to accurately administer medications and complete required documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident safety
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or healthcare preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct resident care, assisting with activities of daily living.
  • Help residents maintain their independence while ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety.
  • Administer medications as assigned.
  • Accurately document medications and resident care.
  • Observe residents for changes in condition.
  • Communicate important observations to nursing staff.
  • Respond appropriately to resident needs.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
  • Support resident activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure high-quality care and service throughout the Village.
