Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Current Virginia State Certified Nurse Assistant License
  • Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • At least 1 year of experience as a CNA is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating while promoting independence and dignity
  • Monitor and record vital signs and observe residents for changes in physical or mental condition, reporting concerns to nursing staff
  • Support safe mobility by assisting with transfers, ambulation, and use of mobility aids such as walkers or wheelchairs
  • Answer resident alarm pendants and respond to resident needs appropriately and promptly, ensuring timely assistance and safety
  • Provide companionship and emotional support while encouraging engagement in daily activities and community programs
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment in accordance with facility policies and resident care plans
