About The Position

Seafields by Bishop Gadsden is a newly built Senior Living Community that is about to open its Assisted Living Community. This area is designed with both residents and care team members in mind. We are seeking compassionate, service-oriented Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) who want to make a difference in a supportive environment with a low resident-to-caregiver ratio that allows you to truly know your residents and provide the level of care they deserve.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age and in good physical health
High school diploma or equivalent
Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in South Carolina
Must be listed in good standing on the South Carolina Nurse Aide Registry
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented mindset
Ability to work well as part of a collaborative care team

Responsibilities

Uphold Resident Rights and HIPAA standards
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) while encouraging independence
Provide personal care services in alignment with each resident’s plan of care
Assist residents with dining, including escorting to the dining room and in-room dining
Observe, document, and promptly report changes in resident condition
Participate in walking rounds and exchange shift reports with supervisors
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
Practice standard infection control and safety precautions at all times
Communicate and collaborate with nursing, supervisors, and the interdisciplinary care team
Provide laundry and ironing services for residents as needed
Maintain a pleasant, respectful, and courteous demeanor with residents, families, and team members
Respond promptly to pagers and review the communication book each shift
Participate in assigned “lunch duty”
