Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Float Pool (Night Shift)
About The Position
This is a full-time Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) position in the Float Pool, primarily working the night shift (7p - 7a), though the schedule may vary based on department needs. The role involves performing various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include assisting patients with daily living activities such as dressing, bathing, and eating. The CNA will also collect non-invasive body fluid specimens and gather vital signs, but will not administer intravenous fluids. Additionally, the role supports physicians and nursing staff with procedures as needed and documents patient interactions. This position relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performing a variety of tasks under general supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No experience necessary
- Certification from an accredited nursing assistant program required
- SRNA License to practice in the state of Kentucky
- Interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patient, guest, physicians, and other employees
Responsibilities
- Performs various direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Assists patients in dressing or undressing, bathing, or eating
- Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens or gathers vital signs but does not start or administer intravenous fluids
- Aids physicians and nursing staff members with procedures if needed
- Documents patient interactions as needed
