About The Position
Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a Certified Nurse Aide. This role is responsible for assisting residents with daily living activities, monitoring their condition, and ensuring their care aligns with their individual plans. The facility provides the gold standard in quality care for Virginia’s Veterans and features 200 single-occupancy rooms across four nursing units.
Requirements
- Current Virginia Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) license.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of personal care needs and activities of daily living (ADL’s).
- Physical ability to turn, bend and lift non-ambulatory adult patients without restrictions.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a long-term care or adult geriatric setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meals and escort residents to the dining hall.
- Make rounds regularly, answer call lights promptly and respond courteously.
- Complete all required paperwork/computerized documentation for charting assessments.
- Provide each resident the necessary care in accordance with his/her plan of care and ADL record.
- Monitor and observe residents’ physical, mental, and emotional status, and report changes to Charge Nurse.
