About The Position

Iris Memory Care of Edmond is seeking a Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) for their memory care unit. This role involves providing hands-on, compassionate care to residents with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, ensuring they live with dignity, comfort, and joy. The community is a freestanding memory care assisted living facility with 40 residents, offering an intimate environment where team members know each resident well. The position is ideal for individuals with a passion for senior care and memory care.

Requirements

• Active listing on the Oklahoma Nurse Aide Registry (required)
• High school diploma or GED required
• At least 18 years of age
• Genuine warmth, patience, and compassion for those living with memory loss
• Reliable work history — consistency matters deeply to our residents
• Ability to meet continuing education and certification requirements for your position

Nice To Haves

• Minimum one year of experience working with older adults preferred
• Experience in memory care or with dementia residents strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, compassionate care to residents.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including personal care, dining, and mobility.
• Support residents with life enrichment activities and social-recreational programming.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a clean, comfortable, home-like environment.
• Offer emotional and physical comfort and support to residents and families.
• Uphold each resident’s dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality at all times.
