About The Position

HSHS Rehabilitation Hospital is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide to provide patient care at its new 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility, scheduled to open in 2026. The role is part-time, PRN, with day shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. two times per week.

The aide provides age-appropriate care, including morning and evening hygiene and room care, meal assistance, and responding to patient needs. The role also includes promptly notifying licensed personnel when patients report pain and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• State certification.
• CPR/BCLS certification.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• A minimum of six months of experience in an acute or long-term care facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care responsibilities while considering care standards specific to the patient's age.
• Provide morning care, including bathing or showering, oral hygiene, hair care, back care, changing bed linens, cleaning bedside surfaces, straightening the room, and other general care as needed.
• Provide evening care, including washing hands and face, oral hygiene, back rubs, peri-care, refreshing linens, cleaning over-bed tables, straightening the room, and other general care as needed.
• Notify appropriate licensed personnel when a patient complains of pain.
• Prepare patients for meals, serve and remove food trays, and assist with meals or feed patients when necessary.
• Distribute drinking water and other nourishment to patients.
• Answer patient call lights, anticipate patient needs, and make rounds on assigned patients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
