About The Position

This position is for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the IMCU (Intensive Medical Care Unit). The IMCU is a 24-bed unit staffed with Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (NAs), and monitor techs, focusing on high acuity patients with 24-hour monitoring. The role involves supporting patients and community members to positively impact the mission of making communities healthier.

Requirements

• Current state NA I license
• Completed NA course from an accredited school
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

• Understanding of critical care principles
• Understanding of advanced patient monitoring
• One year of experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs/blood sugars
• Assists patients with activities of daily living
• Document and report abnormal findings or changes in patient condition
• Measure and document input/output and weights
• Assist nurse as needed
• Answer call lights
• Assist with patient admission, transfer and discharge
• Provide care appropriate to the condition/age of the patient
• Distribute drinks and/or snacks
• Maintain clean and neat patient room and work environment
• All other duties as assigned
