About The Position
Bedford Specialty Care is a 39-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Bedford, Iowa, and is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide to support residents in their healthcare journey. The role includes helping residents with daily living activities, providing companionship and emotional support, communicating with residents, families, and the healthcare team, monitoring health, and supporting recreational and therapeutic activities. The aide must follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment. Full-time and part-time day schedules are available, with a competitive hourly rate and shift differential.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that support residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
