About The Position

Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Northwest Arkansas is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for a PRN position. This role is part of Lifepoint Health, a healthcare delivery network committed to employee well-being and exceptional patient care. The hospital specializes in inpatient care for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, complex orthopedic injuries, and neurological conditions, offering customized and intense rehabilitation programs. As a CNA, you will provide basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff, assisting with daily living activities and clinical procedures to support patient recovery.

Requirements

• Completion of a nursing assistant training course.
• Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Provide general nursing support such as positioning, lifting, turning, and using special equipment.
• Assist with toileting needs using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or ambulation to the bathroom.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake/output measurements accurately and document in a timely manner.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment with attention to ventilation and lighting.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling of patient belongings.
• Answer patient call lights, phones, and pages, responding promptly and appropriately.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
