Certified Nurse Aide CNA
About The Position
This role is for a Certified Nursing Assistant I (CNA I) in a 19-bed Adult Behavioral Health Unit. The unit is staffed with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, CNAs, Mental Health Technicians, Social Work Therapists, Recreational Therapists, and Psychiatric Providers. The unit treats patients with various diagnoses such as Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Patients may present with psychosis, suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, mania, or exacerbations of mental illness. The role involves collaborative work in a supportive environment focused on providing quality care and support to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.
Requirements
- Current state NA I license
- Completed NA course from an accredited school
- Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities
- Accurately identifies patient needs
- Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
- Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
